ASSOCARBONI PRESENTS THE INDUSTRY’S RESULTS FOR THE YEAR 2017 AT THE ANNUAL MEETING
\nIn 2017, the global leadership of coal in electricity generation continues, with a share of 40%
\nWorld coal trade is the subject of a strong recovery in 2017 and the first two months of 2018: 5% compared to 2016, driven by record imports from China, France, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey
\nVolumes up 50% in the decade 2008-2017: from 809 million tonnes in 2009, to 1198 million in 2017
\nEuropean imports also increased by 2% in 2017%
\nWhile Europe goes to 23% coal, Italy is the only country in the European Union that, although not using nuclear power, has the lowest share of coal use (10%)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
