Coal-fired Italy

Italy is committed to the programme of phasing out coal, which is essential for electricity generation, by 2025. Nuclear-free and without coal, however, our country’s industrial activity is likely to be weakened and not in line with a global benchmark represented by those countries with few natural resources but with a manufacturing vocation such as, for example, China, Denmark, Germany, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
